Psychological Support

   Nowadays in the area of human science and particularly the science of education has been formed a dynamically evolving interdisciplinary clinical sector, the one of special education, which has as an object the search of physical and mental health, the education, the special vocational education and the social integration of children with special educational needs.

   In the school year 2006-2007, the school allocates two psychologists. Every child has individualised meetings with the psychologist and he follows a program of intervention depending on the needs of the child. The first aim is the psychological support of students, which particular emphasis is given on :

  • The development of dexterities of communication
  • The recognition, expression and handling of sentiments
  • The dimensions of the self concept and the self respect
  • The confrontation of stress situations
  • The process of resolution of conflicts
  • As well as in the significance of difference

   Apart from the individual meetings, we organise common activities to improve the socialization of children through the dynamics of a team.

   In regular time intervals we evaluate the students and renew the individual file of each student.

   The creation of relation of confidence between the pupil and the psychologist is very important as well as it has with the parents. For this reason there is frequent communication with the family environment and information on the progress of children. Finally, there is collaboration with the educational and special educational personnel of the school.
